Poem name : PLAIN COLOR

The sky bluer
The water bluer
I am in the veranda, Ra’na is near the bond

Ra’na is washing clothes
Leaves are falling
At morning Mother said, “It is the season of depression.”
-“Life is like apple.” I said, “You must bite it with the skin.”

The neighboring woman is weaving nets by her window singing
I am singing Vedas
Sometimes I sketch rocks, birds, and clouds

It is a full sunshine
The starlings have arrived
Nasturtiums have just blossomed
I crack a pomegranate, thinking to myself
“I wish the seeds of these people’s hearts were visible.”
My tears flow, the pomegranate juice spurts into my eye
Mother laughs
Ra’na as well
